Character DEAN THOMAS in the Post-Hogwarts Harry/Draco RPG beyond7years


Dean is an artist who has spent time in both Europe and the USA since the end of the war/school. Dean has been travelling for artistic inspiration and has met various interesting characters on the way and has recently become more established and has been supporting himself from his artwork, whereas before he was forced to also do work in bars to help the income of a non-established artist. Dean is passionate about his work and has been known to all-but fall asleep whilst working on something if his inspiration and creative drive was strong.

However his recent year-long stay in the USA had begun to pall and he missed England and specifically London and his various friends. The semi generous amount of money he has saved has allowed him to start to look at possible art studios in the Diagon Alley area with both Muggle and Wizarding access, as he does both types of work.

On first returning to London Dean stayed with his Mum across town as he cannot afford rent on his own if he also wants an individual studio. Staying with his Mum became tiresome because she has a new boyfriend and really nobody should be forced to listen to their parents doing that sort of thing! Dean moved out and started to look for somewhere else to live.

Dean is generally of a calm and cheerful temperament provided that his work is going as it should and he has sufficient work to support himself, however like many artistic people he is prone to fits of depression when he lacks enthusiasm for his work and spends time holed away somewhere feeling sorry for himself. He also has a very bad temper if someone pushes the wrong buttons, fortunately this doesn’t happen often.

Dean is a bit of a romantic at heart and having been hurt by women in the past is very cautious about relationships and is therefore is not really looking for anyone at the moment, he also doesn’t think most people would be prepared to put up with the strange hours he sometimes keeps.

Dean is hoping to reconnect with his old friends from Hogwarts now that he is back in Wizarding London and try to establish himself as an artist here in the UK. He also hopes that he might be able to make some new friends and since Hogwarts was quite some time ago now he isn’t too bothered about house constraints provided that the people he meets are nice enough.
